Baked Cheeseburger Sliders

Save For Later

My baked cheeseburger sliders have juicy flavorful beef, smoky bacon, and plenty of melty cheese. No frying individual patties with grease going everywhere, these save your time and your stove top!

I love turning the classic burger into something new like a casserole, a bowl, or a dip or my famous quesadilla burger mashup. My newest favorite is these easy pull apart cheeseburger sliders. You can bake them in the oven in just around 20 minutes. No flipping patties at the stove all day, you can finally enjoy the BBQ you're hosting. We love them for parties, game day, or anytime we're craving a juicy burger. Add your favorite toppings like ketchup, mustard, or Meat Man's favorite: fried pickles. Whether you're feeding hungry kiddos or at a tailgate these are always the MVP. If you are looking for a new dinner recipe to serve a crowd this recipe is perfect. Be sure to try our Pizza Sliders too!

Why This Recipe Works: A Sprinkle of Food Science

  1. Juicy Not Greasy: I use 90% lean beef. It is juicy and flavorful without being overly greasy.
  2. Cheese Seal: We place the cheese on the bottom to prevent the saucy beef from making the rolls soggy.
  3. Assemble Hot: This prevents steam which can also make the rolls soggy.

Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips

  • Slider Rolls: I used Pepperidge Farm slider rolls. You could also use Hawaiian rolls like I do in my Chopped Italian Sliders.
  • Ground Beef: I used 90% lean. If you use 80/20 be sure to drain it before adding it to the buns.
  • Hamburger Seasoning: I like using McCormick's Grill Mates. Use any seasoning blend your family loves.
  • Cheese: I used American for that classic cheeseburger flavor. Sharp cheddar, would be tasty too!
  • Bacon: Cooked crisp. I like Hormel Black Label microwave bacon. Such a time savor as it can cook while I brown the beef.

Krystle's Tips: Steal My Culinary School Secrets

  1. Use a serrated knife to slice the whole pack of rolls in half (remove the tops from the bottoms).
  2. Lay cheese on the bottom not the top to help prevent sogginess.
  3. Tent with foil for the first half baking. Remove and brush with butter to help the rolls brown.
