I love easy desserts made in a 9x13 or 8x8 pan. Some of my favorites are Oreo Dirt Cake, Biscoff Tiramisu, and fruit cocktail cake. This pineapple dream dessert is my new favorite. It tastes like summer and is even better when made ahead.

Why Our Recipes Is the Best: A Sprinkle of Food Science

  1. We Bake Our Crust: This gives it a toasty flavor and ensures it stay crunchy not soggy.
  2. We Drain Our Pineapple Well: Too much liquid can make the filling watery. We drain and press ours dry so this doesn't happen.

Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips

  • Graham Crackers: Avoid store bought graham cracker crumbs. Freshly crushed ones taste so much better!
  • Cool Whip: I like using extra creamy for the best texture. Thaw overnight in the fridge. Do not microwave or it may separate.
  • Butter and Cream Cheese: Make sure both are softened to room temperature to help them mix in smoothly.
