I love big batch cocktails for parties. I've previously shared my Fishbowl drink and Peach Sangria. My newest favorite is this rum punch. I can make it in advance and not have to mix drinks all night! It's perfect for summer BBQs, the beach or even Christmas! Try it with my jerk chicken too.

Why Our Rum Punch Is the Best

  1. Layered Colors: No murky one note color. We layer the ingredients for a pretty sunset effect.
  2. Golden Rum: Aging the rum develops vanilla and caramel notes that compliment the fruity flavors perfectly.
  3. Real Grenadine: We use grenadine made with real pomegranate juice for a complex flavor that isn't overly sweet.

Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips

ingredient including Bacardi Gold rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and Liber grenadine.
  • Limes: Roll the limes on the counter first to break open their membranes to get the most juice possible. I also like to microwave mine for 10-15 seconds to make them easier to squeeze. Avoid bottled lime juice which can be overly acidic.
  • Orange Juice: Choose a pulp free variety for the smoothest drink.
  • Rum: I like the complexity of a gold or dark rum here. Bacardi Gold is my go to for gold. For dark I'd suggest Plantation.
  • Grenadine: Many grenadines are just flavored corn syrup. I like using one made with real pomegranate juice for the best flavor. Liber & Co is my favorite. Stirrings is also very good.
