Eggnog Fudge

-shifty grin-

When I spotted Eggnog at our local supermarket last week, I was pumped! I immediately picked some up to drink and use in recipes (like this Eggnog Fudge recipe!!) I've also got an Eggnog Cheesecake in the works so stay tuned!

At checkout the cashier said "Wow they really are rushing the season".

Wut.......

I just smiled and nodded. Let's just pretend I haven't been listening to Christmas music, buying cookie cookbooks, and planning home decor for the past month! 😉

P.S. I'm not coming to your checkout line anymore!  #Bye

A suggestion for ingredients: add a (-) to distinguish 1- 7 oz Jar Marshmallow Creme. I misread ingredients as 17 oz!. Thank heavens I bough enough of ingredients for 2 batch's.

Thank you for your feedback on this Rebecca, we're going to audit our posts to make this update sitewide.

Hello, just put in the finished product in the fridge. So glad I read thru all the questions and comments. Thanks!!!

Mine didn't firm up, I live in Texas and was informed by a few people that it could have something to do with the humidity here and to stick it in the fridge afterwards. Have you tried this with anything other than white chocolate? My kids hate white chocolate and said that is all they can taste... I think it's cause they saw me put it in lol.

    1. Krystle Smith says:

      Hi Taylor,

Thanks for your feedback. I do suggest putting it in the fridge.

I haven't tried it, but I wonder if vanilla candy wafers would work instead of white chocolate.

This was fabulous!! I added a little Bourbon Creme liqueur and it took it over the top! Will definitely make this again and again!

    1. Krystle Smith says:

  6.  Can you store for a day or two before serving or does it lose its taste and texture? I just finished my first batch. It looks amazing but I’d like to have it for Christmas

    1. Krystle Smith says:

      Hi Chris!
You can make it ahead, just be sure to store in the fridge.

  7. Hi! I’d like to try out this recipe but unsure if the butter should be salted or unsalted.

    1. Krystle Smith says:

      Hi Pam,
      I used unsalted butter.

  8. I'm not a fan of white chocolate...would regular milk.chocolate work or would it taste funny?

    1. Krystle Smith says:

      Hi Chelle,
I have only tried this recipe as written. Feel free to adapt it to your tastes, but I can't guarantee the results.

  9. I would not risk it, with eggnog in it it needs to be refrigerated. I would't leave it out more than 2 hours.

  10. Jennifer Keeney says:

Refrigerate after pouring in pan or leave room temp?

  11. Kit Harrison says:

Can I use ground nutmeg ? If so, how much

    1. Totally! I'd use 3/4-1 teaspoon ground nutmeg.

  12. how long does it usually take for the fudge to set , and would you recommend leaving it to set at room temperature before putting it in the fridge?

    1. It should set up in a few hours in the fridge. I put mine right in the fridge no wait time

  13. Annie Gonzalez says:

Im new on making fudge. Does it set byitself or do I have to put it on the fridge?

    1. I would put it in the fridge for a few hours to set because of the eggnog.

  15. About  how long does it take to set? Do I just let it harden in room temperature or in the fridge?

I’m making this RIGHT NOW and waiting impatiently like a kid on Christmas for it to set. ????

    1. Hope it was amazing Sarah. Mine set in a few hours in the fridge! 😀
