Peaches are one of my favorite summer fruits.  I love using them in desserts like crumbles, coffee cakes, and dump cakes. You can't go wrong using this juicy fruit in cocktails like peach bellinis too. This Peach Sangria is another favorite. This white wine sangria with perfectly ripe peaches is an absolute must-have on a long summer afternoon.

It is sweet, fruity, and so smooth. It is wonderful for sipping with friends and family at parties. In addition, it is always a welcome treat at wedding showers, book clubs, and block parties.

Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips

moscato wine, frozen peaches, peach shcnapps, and sprite on a wooden counter.
  • White Rum: White rum tastes crisp and sweet, with notes of vanilla. I like Bacardi, but the Plantation brand is also good. You could also use vodka or even peach vodka.
  • Peach Schnapps: Schnapps is made from fermenting fruit juices with a base liquor, which makes it perfect for this drink. It tastes sweet and fruity, like peach rings. I like Dekuyper Peachtree
  • Peaches: Fresh local fruit is always my first choice. Look for fruits that are brightly colored and that give slightly to pressure. Avoid peaches that have green near the stems, as they may have been picked too early.
  • Sprite: Use any lemon-lime soda you like such as Sierra Mist, or Sprite. You could also use peach-flavored sparkling water or even club soda if you want to limit the sugar in this recipe.
  • White Wine: I used Moscato because it is sweet with notes of peach. Barefoot or Cupcake is my go to brand as it's affordable and tastes great. If you prefer a less sweet wine, Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc can also be used.

️Krystle's Tips️

  1. Use frozen peaches instead of ice cubes to avoid watering down your drink.
  2. Chill ingredients and glass for an icy cold drink.

Party Drink

I like to make two batches one that I sit out and an extra I keep in the fridge. This way I'm never the hostess who runs out of drinks!

❓FAQs❓

Can I Make It Ahead?

You can make it a few hours in advance. Add the Sprite just before serving so it doesn't lose its fizz.

Can I Make A Small Batch?

Yes, follow these instructions to serve 2:

1 Cup White Wine
1.5 Ounces Rum
.5 Ounce Peach Schnapps
1 Peach
1 Cup Sprite

Can I Use Frozen Or Canned Peaches?

Frozen peaches work great as they're picked at the peak of freshness.
Avoid canned fruit which is canned in syrup which can add too much sweetness.
