Nashville Hot Chicken Dip: Creamy and spicy dip with crispy chicken on top. Move over buffalo chicken dip, this is going to be a new favorite!

Nashville Hot Chicken Dip

Nashville chicken is spicy, sweet, and of course served with pickles. If you like it as a main dish you’re going to devour it as an appetizer!

It starts with a rich cream cheese base that will have you wanting to eat it with a spoon! Then, we top it off with crispy popcorn chicken, more hot sauce, and pickles. The flavor combination is unreal.

It makes a wonderful appetizer for parties, watching sports, and of course the Super Bowl.

Nashville Hot Chicken Dip Tips

  1. Using frozen popcorn chicken makes this dip a breeze to make. However, you could also use homemade popcorn chicken if you’d like.
  2. No buttermilk? No problem. Make your own with vinegar or lemon juice.  Use around 2 teaspoons of vinegar or lemon juice to make the 3/4 cup of buttermilk used in this recipe.
  3. Be sure your cream cheese and buttermilk are room temperature to ensure a smooth and creamy dip.
  4. Spice lover? Increase the hot sauce, cayenne, and add diced jalapenos for a spicier dip.
  5. Serve with a variety of your favorite chips, crackers, and veggies for dipping.
