Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies

I've never tried adding a salty sweet twist to my cookies, but why not just jump right in with bacon!

Does bacon really make everything better?

These cookies seem to confirm that. They're easy to whip up-no mixer required!

It's a great way to use up the other half of that pack of bacon you opened for breakfast.

These cookies look amazing -- and your photography is gorgeous!  Was wondering if you use Tailwind -- because I am starting a new tribe called CHRISTMAS COOKIES and I'd love for you to participate!  If you're interested, send me an e-mail and I'll invite you!  Thanks -- these cookies are going on my MUST TRY list this year!

    1. Thanks so much for the compliment and invite. xo

Just when I thought it didn't get much better than chocolate chip cookies! Love the bacon in here and know my husband especially will go crazy for these 🙂 What a fun treat!

    1. There is ALWAYS room for improvement! 😀

  4. Hi! Just stumbled across this, and I was wondering if bacon bits would be ok? I don't have regular bacon on hand. They aren't synthetic or anything. I'm not that crazy. Just lazy.

    1. Hi Katie,

Personally I wouldn't because you won't get the same flavor/crunch. But if you are short on time and just can't wait let us know how they turned out! 🙂

I just made these and they are amazing! Just the right amount of bacon PLUS they are beautiful cookies! They do not flatten out like my regular chocolate chip cookies do - they are puffy and soft...is it the corn starch? Who cares - they are GREAT!!! This recipe just got added to my 'favorites' list!

    1. Hi Diane,

Yay! So glad you enjoyed them! Yes corn starch helps them stay puffy and not spread! 🙂

  6. The instructions don't show how long to bake the cookies.

I'm teaching my Granddaughters how to cook, so they
need all the information on the recipes I send them.

    1. Hi Barb,

Thanks for pointing that out. They should bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are just beginning to brown.

P.S. That is awesome that you're teaching your grand daughters. My Grandma is the one who taught me how to bake and that is something I will always treasure! 🙂

  7. Would you be able to provide me with nutritional break down of these cookies please?

    1. Hey Kylie,

Sorry I don't calculate that information for my recipes. Try using an online one maybe? My Fitness Pal is supposed to have a good one! 🙂
