These Nutella Brownies Might Be The Easiest Recipe On My Site!

I love using Nutella in baked goods. I've previously shared Nutella cupcakes and Nutella cheesecake on the blog. When I first heard about this  Nutella Brownies recipe, I was very skeptical! However, they are some of the best brownies I've ever had. They're super rich and fudgy. SO Easy too: No flour, one bowl, and 2 simple ingredients are that stand between you and these gooey brownies.

I love these when I'm craving something sweet at midnight. They're also a great after-school snack with a big tall glass of milk. Bonus: This recipe is naturally gluten-free.

Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips

a collage showing nutella and eggs.
  • Nutella: Nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread. When baking, I always use brand names to achieve the best results.
  • Eggs: Whisk until the eggs are light yellow in color and tripled in size. This will give your brownies height.
    • Also, make sure they're at room temperature to help them incorporate smoothly.

Nutella Tip

Your Nutella should be smooth and spreadable. If its not microwave for 20-30 seconds.

FAQs

How To Tell When Brownies Are Done

Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs on it. If you see just brownie batter on the toothpick, continue baking for a few minutes at a time.

Do not overbake. They'll continue to firm up as they cool.

How Long Do They Last?

Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

️Krystle's Tips️

  1. Incorporate Air: The secret to making the perfect Nutella brownies is to make sure you whip your eggs up. Since this recipe lacks a leavening agent like baking powder, the air helps them rise. You can certainly use a stand/hand mixer if you have it. I have neither, so I used a whisk and lots of elbow grease. (My favorite secret ingredient!)
  2. Use Foil: Line your pan with foil for easy cleanup and removal.
  3. Don't overbake: Overbaking will lead to a tough and dry brownie.
  4. My Mom's Tip: Slice with a plastic knife for perfect cuts every time (plastic is naturally nonstick).

Easy Measuring Tip

Spray your measuring cup with nonstick spray to prevent the Nutella from sticking.
