Rich fudgy chocolate brownies made with your favorite chocolate hazelnut spread. Can you believe these easy brownies have NO flour or brownie mix?!
I love using Nutella in baked goods. I’ve previously shared Nutella cupcakes and Nutella cheesecake on the blog. When I first heard about this Nutella Brownies recipe I was very skeptical! However, they are some of the best brownies I’ve ever had. These are great on their own, but I like to add powdered sugar to make mine look extra fancy.
Bonus: This recipe is naturally gluten-free.
Why You’ll Love These Brownies
- Easy: Can you believe how easy these are? NO flour, NO brownie mix, just 2 single ingredients.
- Rich and Fudgy: The Nutella gives the perfect chocolate flavor.
- Quick: Ready in about 45 minutes.
Serve Them For
- After school snack: With a tall glass of milk
- Dessert: Add vanilla ice cream for a super decadent treat.
- Give as a Gift: Deliver to a neighbor or new Mom
Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips
- Nutella: Nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread. When baking I always use brand names for the best results.
- Eggs: Whisk until the eggs are light yellow in color, and tripled in size. This will give your brownies height.
How To Make Nutella Brownies
- Prep Work: Preheat oven and line pan with foil.
- Beat Eggs: Beat eggs until they have tripled in size.
- Mix: Stir in warm Nutella.
- Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes.
How To Tell When Brownies Are Done
Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs on it. If you see just brownie batter on the toothpick continue baking for a few minutes at a time.
Leftovers
- Storage: Keep at room temperature tightly covered for up to 5 days.
- Freezing: Freeze in an air-tight container for up to 3 months.
Pro Tips
- Incorporate Air: The secret to making the perfect Nutella brownies is to make sure you whip your eggs up. You can certainly use a stand/hand mixer if you have it. I have neither, so I used a whisk and lots of elbow grease. (My favorite secret ingredient!)
- Easy Measuring: Spray your measuring cup with nonstick spray to prevent the Nutella from sticking.
- Use Foil: Line your pan with foil for easy cleanup and removal.
- Don’t overbake: Overbaking will lead to a tough and dry brownie.
- Mom Tip: Slice with a plastic knife for perfect cuts every time (plastic is naturally non stick).
