When it comes to oreos I am all about the cream. Whether I'm licking it off, or sandwiching 2 (okay 3) cookies together I'm a cream girl through and though.

Double and Mega Stuff sometimes aren't even enough for me. 😉

These Oreo Brownies with Oreo Cream Filling really hit the spot. The rich, creamy filling tastes just like oreo creme. Best of all it's sandwiched between 2 chocolate cakey brownies!

However, the filling goes great on just about anything. It tastes great on graham crackers, pretzels, or just straight from the spoon. Heck I could probably put this on my shoe and it would taste good!

Ingredients

For the Brownies

  • ¾ Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ Cup Butter Cubed
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup White Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ Cup Flour

For the Filling

  • ½ Cup Vegetable Shortening Softened
  • 1 Teaspoon White Sugar
  • Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Tablespoons Hot Water

Instructions

For the Brownies

  • Preheat oven to 400° F. Line a jelly roll pan with tin foil. Spray with non stick cooking spray. Set aide.
  • In a large microwave safe bowl melt butter and chocolate chips until smooth (~45-60 seconds).
  • Stir in sugar, eggs, salt and vanilla.
  • Gradually stir in flour a little at a time until just combined.
  • Evenly spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely.

For the Ore Filling

  • Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.

Asembly

  • Run a knife around the edge of the brownies. Flip over onto a flat surface. Cut in half with a knife.
  • Evenly spread filling onto half of the brownie. Top with the other half of the brownie.
