Copycat Chicken Salad Chick Grape Salad
My Copycat Grape salad features juicy grapes in a creamy, crunchy cheesecake dressing. It tastes just like the one from Chicken Salad Chick and is always a hit at parties!

I love serving unique side dishes at parties and picnics like my Mexican street corn salad and orange fluff. Another recipe we always make for family gatherings is this grape salad. If you've ever had it at Chicken Salad Chick you're going to LOVE it. If you haven't tried it yet I'm sure it will still become your new go to side. It's perfect with BBQed meats, sandwiches or chicken salad plates.
Why This Recipe Works: A Sprinkle of Food Science
- We Toast the Nuts: This helps release their oils which makes them smell and taste so much better.
- Thoroughly Dry Grapes: This prevents them from weeping and turning the salad watery.
- Use Whole Grapes: Cutting grapes in half released their juices which thinned the dressing.
Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips

- Cream Cheese: Choose full fat block style cream cheese not the whipped kind. Also, be sure to soften it to prevent lumps and help things come together smoothly. Around an hour at room temperature is perfect. You can also dunk the foil package in warm (not hot) water if you're in a rush.
- Grapes: Look for firm plump grapes that are not wrinkled or overly soft. We like how red and green look together, but you can certainly use just one color if you'd like.
- Sour Cream: Use full fat sour cream for the thickest texture. You can also use Greek Yogurt if needed.
- Pecans: Walnuts also work great!

Krystle's Tips: Steal My Culinary School Secrets
- Dry Your Grapes: Any moisture left behind will make your salad watery. I like to pat them dry with a kitchen towel and then take them for a ride in my salad spinner.
- Don't Skip Chilling: It improves both the texture and flavor. I like to add the nuts after chilling to they don't get soggy.
Yes, it gets better as it sets. Chilling overnight makes it taste even better!
