Patriotic Rice Krispies Treats Pops

For Fourth of July or other patriotic parties, I want something that is "no fuss". I don't want to have to worry about slicing a cake, or whether my cupcakes are piped beautifully.

I want something that I don't have to turn on my oven for, and that guests can just grab and go. This Rice Krispies Treats Pop recipe fits both of those criteria!

  1. How did you get white layer so white? My Rice Krispies are cream colored?

    1. Krystle Smith says:

      Hi Lous!

I didn't do anything special here. It could be based on the brand you're using or something that was added such as vanilla.

  2. Lillian @My Recipe Journey says:

Rice Krispy Treats always take me back. Great versatile spin on the old classic. Thanks for sharing at #theWeekendSocial. Love to see you back next time. We start again Thursday's at 9:00 PM EST. See you then! Off to pin your link!

    1. Thanks so much for pinning Aubrey!

  9. I was wondering when I would see one of these pop up. But I'm glad I found yours. I was going to be boring and press them in a line in a 9 x 13 and then use a star cookie cutter to cut them out. The popsicle stick is ingenious! Less mess, and portion control! Thanks for the tips! I'm very glad I found your post through the Freedom Friday link party.

    1. I love your star idea too Anne! No reason you couldn't put them on a stick!

  10. Betsy @ Desserts Required says:

I love these and thank you for getting me in the mood for summer!!!

  11. Jill Greenlaw says:

  12. Adelina Priddis says:

Oooo I love that these are on a stick! A little less sticky for the hands.

  13. Alyssa @ My Sequined Life says:

These Rice Krispie treats are ADORABLE and perfectly festive! I love how customizable they are for any occasion, too. Growing up, on the Fourth of July we would always make a flag cake with strawberries and blueberries on top to make the stars and stripes. A classic!

    1. Thank you Alyssa! Love the flag cake idea too. Mine always came out lopsided/crooked lol.
Its hard to mess up something on a stick though! 🙂

  14. Marielle Altenor says:

These sure looks delicious! Great idea for 4th of July treats!
