My Texas Roadhouse Roadkill recipe is made with juicy chopped steak, smothered in buttery onions, and tons of melty cheese. This 35 minute recipe is easy, budget friendly, and flavorful enough to please everyone at the table.
In a large bow, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, and egg until just combined.
Using wet hands form beef mixture into 4 equal size patties around ¾ inch thick. Press a dimple into the center of each patty and put in the fridge until ready to use.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large oven safe skillet melt butter over medium heat.
Cook onions and mushrooms for 6-8 minutes until they begin to brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add beef patties and sear on both sides for 3-4 minutes.
Top with onions and mushrooms and bake for 10-12 minutes until it reaches 160 °F
Top with cheese and bake covered for 1-2 more minutes.
Notes
If you don't have an oven safe skillet you can transfer everything to a casserole dish instead.
