Notes
Ingredient Notes
Blueberries: When picking blueberries at the market, go for ones that are plump, firm, and dry with a slight silvery sheen. Skip any that look wet or wrinkled.
Rum: White rum has a clean, subtle sweet flavor that won’t overpower the drink. I like the brand Bacardi.
Mint: Don’t skip muddling the mint—it helps release its flavorful oils.
Lime: To get the most juice from a lime, roll it on the counter and/or microwave it for a few seconds. Avoid bottled lime juice, as it lacks flavor.
Tips
Krystle's Tips
No muddler? No problem! Just use the bottom of a wooden spoon to muddle the mint and blueberries.
Be Gentle: Bruising the mint can make it bitter.
Strain If Desired: Strain through a mesh strainer to remove any pulp or bits of mint for a smoother drink.
