Easy Apple Dumpling Recipe: Flaky dumplings chockfull of apples and topped with a sinful brown sugar butter sauce. The easiest and tastiest breakfast for chilly Fall mornings!
- 2 Cans Crescent Rolls
- 1 Cup Butter
- 1 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, Packed
- 2 Teaspoons Vanilla
- 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 Cups Regular Mountain Dew
- 2 Apples
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 13x9 inch baking pan.
Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into 8 wedges.
Roll each apple piece inside a crescent roll. Place in prepared pan.
In a medium sauce pan melt butter. Then stir in sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Cook on low until thickened.
Pour over dumplings. Pour the soda into the middle and sides of the pan.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
