This strawberry dump cake is one cake recipe that you’ll want to make again and again! And why not? When the recipe is as easy as this, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be part of your summer dessert rotation. I like to make mine in the Instant pot, so I don’t have to heat up the house, but the oven works too. Best summer dessert ever!

What Is a Dump Cake?

A dump cake is an easy to bake dessert where all the ingredients are literally dumped together into the baking pan. No mixing bowl, or dishes to wash here!  So simple, yet so delicious! If you’ve never created a dump cake before, you’re missing out!

Does a Dump Cake Need To Be Refrigerated?

In my opinion, I always think it’s a good idea to refrigerate. Make sure that the dump cake is completely cooled down before you add it to a container to place into the fridge. If there is any heat in the container, it will form condensation (moisture) which can make your cake soggy.
