This vanilla bean frappuccino is cool and creamy with tons of vanilla flavor. Quicker and cheaper than the coffee shop.
As my family continues to torture me, I’m searching for more cold drinks like this Vanilla Bean Frappuccino to enjoy. Go ahead read the story, I’ll wait! :)I would love to enjoy margaritas and mojitos everyday, but I’m getting way too old for that nonsense.
In fact, I’m turning 25 in July. Guys, that like a quarter of a century! 🙁
My idea of living dangerously these days is having caffeine after dinner. Will it give me the energy boost I need, or insomnia that makes me relive every embarrassing thing I’ve done in the past quarter century.
If you’re craving an alcohol free or caffeine free drink, this frappuccino recipe will hit the spot.
Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips
- Milk: I prefer whole.
- Heavy Cream: Don’t leave out the cream as it gives the perfect Frappe texture.
- Sugar: Always a good idea!
- Vanilla: You can use vanilla extract, or vanilla beans here. I would not suggest imitation vanilla.
- Ice
How To Make a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino
I bet you can whip it up faster than you can get through the Starbucks line. Bonus: You won’t have to have your name misspelled on the cup either. My name is Krystle, and I can’t win! I’m luckily my family can spell it right. 😉 Anyone else in the same boat?
Simply put all ingredients except the whipped cream into the blender. Then, blend, blend, blend, and you’re done. Finally, I like to top mine off with whipped cream, because whipped cream is always a good idea!
Does It Contain Coffee?
This drink does NOT have any coffee in it. However, you can certainly add it if you want a caffeine buzz.
Starbucks’ version is caffeine-free too! That makes it perfect for late night treats, kiddos, or just your overly neurotic food blogger. -awkward wave-
It does not taste like coffee at all either. It reminds me more of a vanilla milkshake but thinner and less heavy.
Variations
a. Dairy Free or Vegan: Substitute soy, almond, or coconut milk for a dairy free treat. Also, you can even buy coconut whipped cream!
b. Skinny: Fat free milk and an artificial sweetener can make this drink skinny too. Skinny drink=an extra pastry right?!
c. Caramel: Drizzle in 1 tablespoon caramel sauce and 3 tablespoons caramel syrup. Read my full caramel frappuccino recipe here.
d. Mocha: Drizzle in ⅓-1/4 cup of chocolate syrup. Yum!
