When it comes to game day I’m all about  crunchy, cheesy, goodness. And there’s nothing wrong with that in moderation!

However, I like to enjoy game day treats year round. Therefore I try to make them a little bit healthier without sacrificing flavors or taste.

This Skinny Onion Dip does just this. It’s is great for snacking at parties and does not taste light! The longer it sets the better it gets (in the fridge of course!).

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 Sweet Onions sliced into ¼-inch rings
  • 2 cups light sour cream
  • 1 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 2-3 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. Set a large saute pan on low heat. Add oil. When pan is hot, add onions and saute stirring occasionally until dark brown and caramelized. This will take around 40-50 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1-2 more minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool. Once cool enough to touch chop onion slices into ¼ inch pieces.
  3. In a separate bowl mix sour creme, mayo, celery salt, Worcestershire, salt and pepper together. Fold in onion mixture.
  4. If you like a smooth dip blend in a food processor. (Optional).

Serve with vegetables, chips, pretzels, ect.
