Orange Creamsicle Bars: Soft and chewy orange bars topped with fluffy cream cheese frosting: tastes just like an orange creamsicle!

Orange Creamsicle Bars

In general I’m not a big fan of citrus. It is too sharp and tangy for my palette. However, when you mix orange with sweet cream, it becomes truly magical in my mind.

I’ve always enjoyed frozen orange creamsicles, but let’s be honest they’re not the most exciting dessert in the world.

I wanted to capture the contrast of tangy citrus with mellow cream in a dessert. These Orange Creamsicle bars do just that.

Might want to re-do your recipe. Better off using a 13×9 pan — the bars will come out thin like the picture and not 2 inches thick like in the 8×8 pan. Also, if baked in the 8×8 pan, they need to be in the oven for more like 40 min, not 15-20. Will be trying original recipe in 13×9 pan next time. Thanks anyway.

      Hi Emily,
I’m sorry you had a bad experience with my recipe. I made mine using the smaller pan, as I prefer a thicker/chewier bar. Sometimes the camera/angle can makes things look different.
Thanks for sharing your feedback with me.
