Lindt Interview and Review
When I ask my family what they want me to bake, the answer is usually CHOCOLATE! Our household is pretty much full of Chocaholics. If yours is too I think you’ll really enjoy learning about these new Lindt products and hearing what their Master Choclatier had to say!
Interview with Master Choclatier Ann (Paraphrased)
Krystle:How did you become a Chocolatier?
Ann:It was actually an accident. I had trouble getting into Medical School and was studying abroad. I started working in a Swiss Kitchen and learned how to make desserts and chocolate. I found that chocolate was my true passion, and did an apprenticeship.
K: What is your favorite way to bake with Chocolate?
A: I like to add premium Lindt chocolate to old family recipes. Some of my favorites are Brownies, Pots De Creme, and Cookies. I think the Caramel Sea Salt bars would be amazing in cookies now that I think about it.
K:I’m kind of lazy (and I hate doing dishes). Does chocolate really need to be melted over a double boiler?
A: No I think shots cuts are fine as long as you have the knowledge and understanding. Keep a close eye on it so it does not burn in the microwave and you’ll be fine. Double boilers may be easier for beginners however as its almost impossible to mess up.
K: If you could only eat one Lindt product for the rest of your life which would you chose?
A: Don’t do this to me, it’s not fair! If I had to pick I’d chose the Caramel Sea Salt bar.
K: Lindt has all kinds of unique flavors like Chili and Wasabi. Have you ever tried a flavor that didn’t work out?
A: We have had some not so great combinations but it’s more a matter of the amount than the ingredient.
K:Is there anything else you’d like to add?
A: Life is way too short to enjoy ordinary chocolate.
