Jalapeno Popper Pizza

Save For Later

My Jalapeño Popper Pizza turns your favorite bar-appetizer into a crowd pleasing pizza. You'll love the creamy sauce, melty cheese, spicy peppers. -

I love making unique homemade pizza like my cheeseburger pizza, BBQ chicken pizza and my crab rangoon pizza. My Jalapeno popper pizza takes two comfort-food icons and combines them into something new and totally delicious. Creamy, crunchy, spicy, cheesy, all my favorite things about jalapeno poppers but with no deep fryer required! It is absolutely perfect for game day gatherings or Father's Day festivities.

It's one bowl zero rise crust makes it perfect for busy weeknights. You'll be serving t up faster than any delivery driver.

Why This Recipe Works

Traditional jalapeño poppers require stuffing, breading, and deep-frying. This pizza captures all those flavors with a fraction of the work and feeds a crowd.

  1. Cream Cheese Sauce: It tastes just jalapeno popper filling and "glues" te toppings in place so they don't slide off.
  2. No Rise Time: Pizza yeast works instantly and prevents the dough from shrinking when you roll it out.
  3. Bakes Up Super Crispy: Cooking on a pizza stone gives you a crust you'll swear came straight from your favorite pizzeria
ingredients including flour, pizza yeast, flour, cream cheese, cheeses, bacon, and jalapenos.

Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips

  • Pizza Yeast vs. Regular Yeast: Pizza yeast includes dough conditioners that prevent the dough from shrinking when you roll it. If substituting instant yeast, let the dough rest 15 minutes after mixing.
  • Cheese: Shred your own if possible. Pre-shredded cheese contains anti-caking agents that interfere with smooth melting and can create a grainy greasy texture.
  • Cream Cheese: Soften completely to room temperature by cutting into cubes and letting sit for 30 minutes. Cold cream cheese can cause holes in your crust when you try to spread it.
  • Jalapeños Remove the ribs and seeds for milder heat, or use pickled jalapeños for tangy flavor with spice.
  • Flour: Spoon flour into measuring cup and level with a knife. Scooping directly from the bag will give you too much, creating a dense dry dough.

Krystle's Tips

  1. Use a Pizza Stone preheated in the oven to replicate a piping hot pizza oven and create a crispy crust that won't get soggy.
  2. Cut with Kitchen Shears instead of a pizza wheel to avoid dragging toppings around.
  3. Activate Yeast Properly: Test with an instant-read thermometer if you're unsure. Ideally it should be around 105-110°F and feel like bath water. If it's too hot you'll kill your yeast while if its too cold it won't activate.
  4. Don't Want To Make Your Own Crust? Ask to buy a dough ball from your local pizza place. It's cheaper than the grocery store and tastes so much better.
