Can you Bake Edible Cookie Dough

While this edible chocolate chip cookie dough is perfect for eating as cookie dough, it doesn’t bake well. It doesn’t contain baking powder or anything to make them rise. Because of this the cookies would just spread out. If you want a cookie dough recipe to bake, I recommend this one.

Can you Freeze Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

You can freeze edible cookie dough just like you would regular cookie dough. Be sure to store the cookie dough in an airtight container or freezer bag. If you are storing it in a container, you might want to wrap it in plastic first. This prevents it from getting freezer burn.

Do you Need to Refrigerate Edible Cookie Dough

While this easy edible cookie dough recipe doesn’t have egg in it, I would still recommend storing it in the refrigerator. This will ensure the best texture and consistency.

How Long Does Homemade Edible Cookie Dough Last

Most cookie doughs will last for three to five days in the refrigerator. To maintain freshness  I recommend making sure the cookie dough is stored in an airtight container in the fridge.

Is It Safe to Eat Cookie Dough with Raw Flour?

There has been a lot of talk about eating raw flour lately. Some will say it is safe, but it has been shown it contains bacteria.  I prefer to play it safe and toast my flour like this.
