This creamy cookie dough edible is so addictive. It is safe to eat, and wonderful as a dip or with a spoon.
I LOVE cookie dough in any form, it is my guilty pleasure. I’ve used this recipe to make my cookie dough cheesecake and my cookie dough layer cake. Do you love it too? Then you need to try this edible eggless cookie dough. It is safe and downright delicious.
It goes great with graham crackers, animal cookies, pretzels, and more! Or just do what I do and eat it with a spoon.
WARNING: Once you start eating it, you might not be able to stop!
I’ve been seeing edible cookie dough pop up in stores and online, but it costs a fortune.
Make it home anytime for a fraction of the cost.
Why I Love This Recipe
- Super easy: With just a few ingredients, and 10 minutes’ time this recipe is ready for you!
- No fancy equipment required: No mixer is needed. Just grab a wooden spoon and stir.
- No-Bake: Don’t heat up the kitchen, this recipe doesn’t require any cooking/baking.
Ingredient Notes
- Butter: Soften butter by leaving it out for about an hour before you’re ready to make this recipe. If you don’t have time to soften butter, cut it into smaller pieces to speed up the process.
- Milk: Use whole milk for the best results. Because there are no eggs in the recipe, the milk helps everything come together.
- Flour: If you’re nervous about eating raw flour I suggest heat treating it. You can do this by using a parchment-lined baking sheet at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes.
- Chocolate Chips: I used Nestle Semi-Sweet, but feel free to use your favorite variety. White chocolate would also be yummy.
Fun Variations
- Chocolate Chocolate: Add 2-3 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
- Oreo: Mix in 1 cup of chopped Oreo cookies.
- Peanut Butter: Add creamy butter, and use peanut butter chips or mini Reese’s cups.
- Cake Batter: Add sprinkles and white chocolate chips.
- Mint: Use mint extract and roughly chopped Andes candies.
- Smores: Fold in mini marshmallows, crushed graham crackers, and chopped Hershey Bars
How to Make Edible Cookie Dough
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Stir in milk and vanilla.
- Add flour a little at a time.
- Fold in chocolate chips and enjoy!
Can you Bake Edible It?
No, it doesn’t bake well. It doesn’t contain baking powder or anything to help them rise. Because of this, the cookies would just spread out. If you want to bake cookies this my favorite recipe.
Storage
- Store in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to a week.
- Freeze in a freezer bag or container for up to 3 months.
