This colorado bulldog features coffee-flavored liquor and fizzy soda. This classic cocktail is easy to make and drink!
Looking for a delicious cocktail that is easy to make and tastes amazing? This Colorado Bulldog recipe is a coffee-flavored drink that is served over ice.
The taste is similar to a White Russian because they both contain vodka, coffee liqueur, and cream. However, the Bulldog has a lovely fizz that comes from soda.
It is easy to make, always a crowd pleased.
Why This Cocktail Rocks
- Common Ingredients: The ingredients are easy to find at your local liquor store, or likely already in your liquor cabinet.
- Classic Flavors: Creamy coffee and soda are well-liked, and always a hit.
- Easy To Make: These are a breeze to make with no cocktail shaker required. You can enjoy your party while still whipping up a signature cocktail.
Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips
- Vodka: Vodka isn’t the star here, you can use your favorite brand. It doesn’t have to be a top-shelf variety, even a cheap bottle will work fine. I used Pinnacle. You could even mix it up by using flavored vodkas such as whipped cream, chocolate, or even birthday cake.
- Kahlua: Kahlua is a sweet rum-based coffee liquor. It is wonderful in this drink and on its own. You can use storebought or homemade. Have leftover Kahlua, make our Mudslide drink or our duck fart too!
- Cream: I like using heavy cream, but you could use half and half too.
- Soda: Coke is a classic for this drink. I like to use it in my Long Island Iced Teas too. However, if you don’t have it on hand you could use Pepsi, root beer, or even Dr. Pepper.
How to Make a Colorado Bulldog Cocktail
- Fill glass with ice. Pour in vodka and Kahlua.
- Top off with heavy cream, and Coca-Cola.
Tips and Tricks
- Pour the pop into the glass slowly as it can create a lot of foam.
- This drink can also be shaken in a cocktail shaker or a mason jar if you’d prefer.
- Make a non-alcoholic version by using espresso (or strong coffee), cream, and cola.
- This drink has 2 servings of alcohol, making it equal to around 2 standard drinks. Always enjoy responsibly.
- Leave out the Coca-Cola to make a White Russian instead.
