I love relaxing with a delicious cocktail, but I’m a bit clueless when it comes to making my own. I tend to gravitate towards pre made pouch drinks or use pre made mixers.


However, these mixes tend to be low on flavor but high on calories/sugar. I was shocked when I saw my favorite mixer had over 40 grams of sugar per serving! My new favorite cocktail recipe uses Slim Fast as a base. I love that Slim Fast has a good amount of fiber, protein, and even vitamins!

Also, as a 22 year old college student I can’t afford to buy a new bottle of liquor for each cocktail recipe. This one uses rum which is really versatile (think strawberry daquiri, mojito, ect.) This isn’t one of those liquor bottles that will start collecting dust in your cabinet (cough cough Cake Vodka cough cough).

Move over Mimosas! This Berry Vanilla Sunrise Cocktail is my new favorite brunch drink. I love how the real fruit flavors come through with just a hint of creamy vanilla. It tastes just like berries and cream!


  • 2 Ounces French Vanilla Slim Fast Shake
  • 1 Ounce White Rum or Raspberry Rum
  • 1/3 Cup Frozen Mixed Berries
  • 1-2 pieces of fresh ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon of honey or agave
  • 1 Ice Cube
  • Combine all items in the blender.  Add more ice to get it to your desired consistency.
