5 Ways to Drink More Water

For the past 2 weeks I’ve been working on forming 2 new habits. I’ve been using Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizing Lotion and drinking 8 glasses of water per day.

Staying well hydrated gives me more energy. In combination with Aveeno’s lotion I’ve noticed smoother, softer skin. Applying lotion is something I enjoy. However, drinking water not so much!

At first, I was really daunted by drinking 8 glasses of water. In the past I usually only drank 3 or 4! Here are some tips I’ve learned along the way to make it easier.


1. Sweeten it up: Add a twist of lemon or lime to give the water more flavor.

2. Drinking Games: Remember those games we played in college? Every time Tony Romo gets sacked take a shot (JK Tony I love youuu). Every time there’s a tv commercial or each time that you finish a chapter in your book remind yourself to take a swig (of water!!).

3. Pretty Glass: Drinking out of a water bottle or glass can be kind of boring. Treat yourself to a nice reuseable tumbler, or even try a champagne glass!

4.Follow you wherever you go: If you’re anything like me you spend a good portion of your day outside the home. Toss a bottle of water in your handbag so you have access to water at the mall, or when you’re stuck in the car.

5. Add Some Fizz: If you’re used to soda try seltzer water or making your own with a machine like the Soda Steam.
