Why is is that some of the most happy days of our lives are also the most nerve-wracking?
During the last few years of high school, all I could think about was moving out and going to college. However, after the last item had been placed in the car I was surprised to find myself nervous.
Prior to college, I had never been away from home except for occasional sleepovers with friends.
I was most nervous about the dining hall (I’m a super pick eater and a vegetarian to boot!), and my room mate.
While the food wasn’t bad, the room mate turned out to be a disaster.
Despite being nervous, I now look back on those days as some of the best of my life thus far!

My freshman year in college was the WORST ever! Everything was a disaster and like you, I hadn’t been away from home much! luckily, I stuck it out and the rest of my college life was pretty awesome!
