Katy Perry Killer Queen Review

Disclosure: The Katy Perry Killer Queen used in this review was sent to me by PR.

I’ve also considered Katy Perry to be different from the rest of today’s pop stars. Her dark hair, personality, and music all seem to set her apart.

Therefore it is only fitting her fragrance be different from all the other celeb scents out there. If you are expecting another sugary sweet, pop star perfume you’ll be sorely disappointed. However, if you don’t mind something a little darker/spicier I think you’ll enjoy this one.

Katy Perry Killer Queen Review

Killer Queen’s Notes are as follows:
Top Notes:Dark Plum, Wild Berries and Bergamot

Middle Notes:Red Velvet Flower, Rainbow Plumeria and Natural Jasmine Sambac

Dry Down:Cashmeran, Natural Patchouli Heart and Liquid Praline

It opens up with a dark burst of fruit. It isn’t juicy or sweet, but more mysterious and seductive. As it dries down it takes on a spicier woody scent.

It lasted around 6 hours on my skin.

It is worth nothing I love the sparkling bottle, but wish it had a stand. I’m constantly afraid of knocking it off my perfume shelf.

It is available as a:
1.0 oz EDP:$39.00
1.7 oz EDP:$49.00
3.4 oz EDP:$59.00
Body Lotion:$20.00

Have you tried Killer Queen? Do you like or hate celeb scents?

  1. My girlfriend is a big Katy Perry fan. I’ll be sure to let her know about this. Thanks.

  2. Lisa at Cosmetic Sanctuary says:

This sounds like it smells amazing!

  3. That bottle is so gorgeous. I’ve heard such great things about this scent, I’ve just got to get my hands on it! I’m loving deeper scents for fall/winter

  4. Love the name! sounds like a nice scent.

  5. I really though this would smell rather sweet. I’ve tried it now and.. I was pleased to find out that indeed, it has a quite seductive fragrance. Although the bottle is not easy to handle & it’s not in my top 5, still could be a perfume to wear.

  6. I love perfumes, I’m a perfume collector (I must have over 30 bottles at home) so I can appreciate a good perfume when I see it.

  7. that sounds right up my alley. i’ll be seeking that out!

  8. I have a sample of this and I’m surprised how much I love it!!

  9. I haven’t tried this scent. By the description it sounds a bit too heavy for my liking. If I saw it in the store, I would spritz it on to sample though.

  10. That is a beautiful bottle, but I could definitely understand why you would a stand for it. I got a small sample in the mail of this and loved the fragrance – I liked it so much I put it on my Christmas wishlist.

  11. Thanks for the review! I am usually not very drawn to celebrity fragrances but this one I really want to try! Love the bottle, the campaign and hopefully also the smell.

  12. Jo-Ann Brightman says:

Before I read your review I commented on your FB page with the same idea. It would probably increase the sale of this perfume if it came with some sort of stand.

  13. Beautiful bottle, but I think I would get annoyed by it not having a stand!

  14. While the name sounds interesting, my favorite scents tend to be very light and more flowery than this perfume gives the impression to me. I am more of a Jessica McClintock person and some of the scent components you mention I know do not fit me as a person (at least I feel that way). My family have encouraged me to try different scents since they are more into spicy wood scent, as you describe this perfume in your post, but it is not me and I feel that you have to be comfortable in your scent skin first.

  15. I love the packaging, I’m such a sucker for that!

  16. Elisebet F says:

Oh yeah, I’d want a stand. I was so mad at myself last year when I dropped a nearly full bottle of my favorite perfume, and it shattered everywhere. It’s too expensive to break! Without a stand, I’d be even more likely to break this…clumsy me. 🙁

    The scents sound yummy though!

  17. I love the shape of the bottle – but I would be afraid of knocking it over, too!
