Glass Nail Files From Design Glassware

My nail file is an important part of my beauty routine.

However, that doesn’t mean I enjoy it! I HATE the sound of using a regular emery board. It sends chills up my spine. It really reminds me of nails on a chalkboard.

I alternate between wearing regular nail polish, and wearing gel polish. When I wear normal nail polish, I always make sure my nails are shaped and smooth before applying polish. This helps it to last longer, and gives a nicer overall look.

In addition, when I wear gel nails I need to prep the nails prior to applying the polish. This includes buffing the nail. This is essentially rubbing off the top layer so your nail is rough. This ensures the polish adheres to it, and won’t peel off.

Many other types of nail files wear away too much of the nail, leading to brittle or breaking nails. However, the glass file provides the perfect balance.

In the past, I have also worn acrylic nails that you need to have done at the salon. At each appointment, the nail tech would first buff the nail. Then, she would file down the tip. This ensures that the nails will not become too long. Sometimes if I was really busy or unable to get an appointment, my nails wold become way too long. This made it hard to do everyday things like clasp a necklace, or even type. If this happened I could file them down at home. A glass file would also work great for this.
