Getting Rid Of Acne Scars

We all have insecurities:thing that we wish we could change about ourselves.

Personally, my biggest insecurity is my skin. From late elementary school I suffered with horrendous acne.

Gradually as I got older, things evened themselves out ,and it nearly disappeared. However, it left behind scars of all shapes and sizes.

I still suffer from hyper pigmentation, enlarged pores, and ice pick scars.

Makeup and skincare products help, but never deliver the type of results I expect. I dream of they day I can afford expensive dermatology treatments to fix myself.

However, it turns out I don’t have to wait after all. I recently discovered the PMD or Personal Microdermabrasion device.

It’s a handheld device that contains aluminum oxide crystals and vacuum suction to “smooth away dead skin cells”.

The process is really simple. You just slide the machine over your face, being sure not to linger on any one spot.

What I love about my PMD:
1. Painless: Sloughing off skin cells sounds pretty painful right? While it’s a weird sensation, it doesn’t hurt at all. And that’s coming from the girl who gets teary eyed getting an eyebrow wax.

2. Electric: I love that it’s always ready to use, and I don’t have to worry about charging it, or replacing batteries.

3.Affordable: For $179 you’re getting a reusable device. You can use it in the comfort of your own home, without making an appointment. You’d be hard pressed to get one single Microderm treatment at a spa for that amount of money, plus you’d have to spend time traveling/waiting your turn.

4. Results: I’ve only used the device 3 times, and I’m already loving the change in my skin. Immediately after using it my skin feels SO soft and smooth. Imagine the feeling after using an exfoliating scrub x5. My hyper pigmentation is also fading!

5.No Down Time: After using it there is slight redness, but nothing too noticeable. You can use the device a few hours before going out, and no one will be any the wiser about what you’ve done!

What I didn’t like:

1. The device comes with 7 discs of varying strengths and sizes. However, each disc is said to only last 3 or 4 uses. This means that eventually you’ll have to buy replacements.

Overall, I really like how PMD is making my skin look and feel. Please let me know if you want another update.

  10. I have heard of this before and wondered if it works. My skin just has such uneven tone, not really scars, but I bet this would help.

  11. I have one also and it is great. The only problem is that I forget I have it and don’t use it as often as I should.

I’ve actually had my eyes on this for a bit and have wanted to try it! You just answered two of my questions, if it hurts and if it’s worth it for how long the discs last. I really want to try this, I so need something to help with a few stubborn scars and sunspots!

  16. I’d LOVE to see an update! So curious if it works!

I wonder if it helps prevent acne? I have more acne now than I ever did as a teen.

  21. I’ve been using the PMD for a couple of weeks now and am already seeing a BIG improvement in my hyperpigmentation, texture and enlarged pores. I’m trying to convince the hubby to learn how to use it so he can do my back where I have some old acne scars!
