How would you make your flats your own? Feathers, Spikes, or Tape?

I really need some new shoes, I have looked around for some comfortable ones and have had no luck
I tend to like the basics, so I’m not sure about adding feathers and other things to my shoes no matter what the trends are. Guess I’m old-fashioned, lol. But, Kudos to those who do.
What, UGG boots aren’t still in? Do birkenstocks count as flats? I’m not up on the trends. Thanks for giving me some ideas.

Personally I don’t like wearing boots until it gets a little colder/snowier!
