Clinique Even Better Makeup with SPF 15 is a liquid foundation with Medium Coverage.
It comes in 30 different shades.
This is my go-to everyday foundation. I’ve tried applying it with brushes and with my fingers. I prefer using my fingers for the smoothest finish. However, I do think you can get a bit more coverage by using a brush.
Over time it claims to even skin tone and fade dark spots even once you wash it off. I’ve been using this foundation pretty regularly for over 6 months. I haven’t seen any difference in my dark spots. It may be that the change is so subtle, I can’t notice it in myself. However, this makeup still has a lot to offer.
Pigmentation: Clinique Even Better Makeup brightens my skin without making it look like I’m wearing too much makeup. It covers redness, pores, and blemishes well. However, its not heavy enough cover severe hyper pigmentation or freckles.
Texture: Obviously, a liquid foundation will apply smoothly. It also blends pretty well. However, it does sink into fine lines and my acne scarring. You can combat most of this with a good primer. My favorite is Maybelline Age Rewind
Lasting Power: You need to set this with powder for it to last any length of time. When I set it with powder, it usually lasts for 6-8 hours. After this my face begins to get oily, and it absorbs the makeup. I alternate between setting it with Clinique Superbalanced powder, and Revlon Color Stay. I get about the same wear out of each.
Overall: This is a great foundation if your looking for medium, everyday coverage. There is a version for all skin types, and its engineered for sensitive skin. However, I would avoid it if you’re looking to cover up major imperfections, or have a lot of fine lines.
Disclaimer: No compensation was received. I purchased Cliniqe Even Better Makeup with my own money.
