Stemology Cell Revive Serum Review + Coupon Code

Disclaimer: The Stemology Cell Revive Serum used in this review was sent to me for consideration. All opinions are my own.

-yawn- Time for bed. Just need to get my toothbrush out of the medicine cabinet.

-ninja combat roll-

Around once a week, I fight this battle with my overstuffed medicine cabinet. It is full of potions and lotions.

I’ve got wrinkle plumpers and tone correctors galore.
You want something for pores? I got 20!

What if there was one product that could just do it all? Well now there is! It combats TWELVE signs of aging.

The Stemology Cell Revive Serum address ” fine lines and wrinkles, skin elasticity, firmness and tightness, skin tone, pore refinement, skin thickness, collagen, and free radical damage”.

I’ve been using it for around 4 weeks now and here is what I’ve noticed.

Brighter less dull skin
Tighter pores on my cheeks and nose
Less fine lines around my eyes (dare I saw it they look airbrushed!)

Overall it is light and absorbs quickly. I use it under my anti acne moisturizer and BB cream. It has a slightly herbal scent but it doesn’t linger.

I know this is seems steep at first glance, but since it is really 12 products in one. That makes it downright bargain. Just try to buy 12 products at the department store for under 200 bucks -giggle snort-.

Still having a hard time stomaching the price? Get 25% off when you spend $100 more using the code BB25.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Scrub Review

Aveeno Positively Radiant ScrubDisclosure: The Aveeno Positively Radiant Scrub used in this review was purchased with my own money.

When I was browsing the beauty section at my local Tj Maxx I spotted this Aveeno item. It was the only Aveeno product I’ve seen there since, so I’m glad I scooped it up.

I’ve previously had pretty good experiences with that lines cleansers and moisturizers so I was happy to try this out as well.

Aveeno Says:This daily facial scrub helps improve skin tone, texture, and clarity to reveal brighter, more radiant skin. With smooth, round microbeads to gently exfoliate while you cleanse, leaving skin soft, smooth, and even-looking.

Baking Beauty says: This scrub was very gentle ,but I think that made its benefits less worthwhile.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Scrub Review

Gentle, non irritating
No scent that I could detect
Easy squeeze out bottle that sits upside down

Not as softening as other scrubs because the beads literally dissolve in seconds
No major difference in skin tone/texture

Overall, if your skin is usually irritated by scrubs this might be a safe one to try. However, I miss that baby soft feeling that comes from harsher scrubs. I think I’ll continue to use this a couple days a week, while subbing a rougher scrub on the other days.

Have you tried any Aveeno Positively Radiant products? Do you like gentle or rougher scrubs?

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum Review

Disclosure: The Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum used in this review was purchased with my own money.

My holy grail moisturizer (Stay Matte Hydrator) is from the Clinique Pore Refining Line, so I decided to give the serum a go.

Clinique says:”Pore Resurfacing Complex quickly, gently clears out debris and rough flakes. Pores ‘snap back’ into shape. In 2 weeks, pores look 58% smaller.”

Baking Beauty says: This serum made my skin velvety soft, but I didn’t notice much difference in my pores.

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum Review

What I loved:
1. Non greasy and quick to absorb: This is designed to be applied twice per day. It absorbed quickly and didn’t make my skin oily even when topped with moisturizer and makeup.

2. The bottle: The pump makes it easy to get a small amount out

3. Moisturizing: This made my skin SO soft and  silky smooth. It felt like I had just exfoliated.

What I didn’t like:
1. I honestly did not notice any difference in my pore size despite using it nearly every day. (I finished the bottle).

2. It also didn’t do anything to help the blackheads on my nose. A good 5 dollar scrub or pore strip was more effective.

Cost: $44

Available at: Your favorite Clinique counter or online at Nordstrom

Overall, I wouldn’t re purchase since it is quite expensive, and didn’t do much.

I really want to try Clinique’s Pore Refining foundation next. Has anyone tried it? Have you discovered any great skincare items lately?

Rice Force Review +Giveaway

Disclaimer: This review is based on a press sample. All opinions are my own.

Despite their age Sake Brewers have soft supple hands. What’s their secret you may wonder? Japanese Rice! Besides being a traditional comfort food, it is also a very effective skincare ingredient.

Rice Force (Please note website begins with .EN. NOT WWW) has been able to transform rice into a luxurious skincare regimen.

I was lucky enough to try out 3 of their products. Please keep reading for my thoughts.

1. Deep Moisture Cream is supposed to “Lock-in moisture with a Non-greasy and lightweight feel.

It is a rich, thick cream with no real scent. I’ve been using it as a night cream. It always leaves my skin feeling so soft and moisturized. The only thing I didn’t like is that it made me oily in my T-zone. This would be perfect for those with dry skin though.

2.Deep Moisture Essence is described as “a highly concentrated moisturizing lotion enriched with Rice Power Extract No.11.”

It is a serum that made my skin feel so silky and helped diminish fine lines around my eyes.

3.Deep Moisture Lotion is described as “a fast-absorbing nourishing formula that fortifies your skin and hydrates from the inside to produce softer, smoother, more youthful skin”.

I was really surprised that the lotion was actually a liquid. It has the consistency of water, but is surprisingly moisturizing.

It absorbs almost instantly you can put makeup on right away. It also didn’t make me oily even in my Tzone!

Aveeno Ultra Calming Cleanser Review

Disclosure: Baking Beauty got a cleanser sample for consideration. All opinions are my own.

Aveeno says: This light, foaming cleanser helps calm irritated skin and helps reduce the appearance of redness. Fragrance free, soap free, noncomedogenic and hypoallergenic, this cleanser lifts away dirt, oil, and makeup without overdrying or aggravating even very sensitive skin—it’s gentle enough to use every day.

Baking Beauty says: This cleanser works well, but I wasn’t a fan of the scent.

What I loved:
1. Effective: It easily removes makeup and left my skin feeling clean.
2.Non drying: It never left my skin feeling dry or flaky.
3. Gentle: I didn’t experience any itching or irritation.
4. Effective: I liked using this after using scrubs which tend to irritate my skin. I found my skin was less red than when I used my regular cleanser.

What I didn’t like:
1. The scent: There is no fragrance added, and I found its natural scent to be a little unpleasant. This was especially true when it was right under my nose. However, those wit very sensitive skin may like be more appreciative, and not as bothered by it.
2. You need to use a lot:Because it is foamy it consists of a lot of air. Therefore I had to use 3-4 pumps to get enough actual soap to cover my face.

1. What does it cost: Around 6.99
2. Where can I buy it: Drug stores, super markets, Target, Walmart, Ect.

What cleanser are you using at the moment?

Aveeno Positively Radiant Night Cream Review

Aveeno says:“Brighten and even skin tone with “this advanced night cream that will leave leave skin smooth and healthy looking”

Baking Beauty Says: This moisturizing night cream makes my skin glow, but I didn’t notice any major chances in tone/texture.

What I loved:
1. A little goes a long way: One fingertip full does my entire face
2. Very moisturizing: It gives your skin that smooth, velvety feel after use.
3. Delivers radiant skin: Wake up in your makeup with glowing skin!

What I didn’t like:
1. I didn’t notice any difference in my uneven skin tone/texture
2. This made me slightly oily in my t-zone.

Best for: Those looking for glowing skin
Avoid it if: You’re expecting serious dark spot correction
