Pumpkin Pasties

Anything from the trolly dear?

Pumpkin Pasties

If you’re a Harry Potter fan like me changes are you’ve spent hours, days, or weeks dreaming about living in the wizarding world.

What would you do first? My top 3:

  1. READ: Even the textbooks sound fascinating.
  2. Have my (liberated, and very well paid) house elf clean my home.
  3. Visit Honeydukes, and eat one of everything because sweets duh!

Pumpkin Pasties

Let’s drown our sorrows in the fact that house elves don’t exist in these tasty pumpkin pasties.  Sweet and spicy pumpkin filling inside a flaky pie crust. To make them even more decadent top them off with a spiced glaze.

Perfect for Thanksgiving dessert, or just munching on while reading a good book!

As time goes on things inevitably change. Many things I loved as a kid are now POOF gone! I’m looking at you Rugrats, Bubblegum cigars, and lets not forget Blockbuster!

Grasshopper Pie

However, Grasshopper Pie is still around, and for good reason! It’s cool creamy mint filling plus a chocolate cookie crust make it a summer must have.

I love that it is no bake. The last thing I want to do in the summer is turn on my oven!

No Bake Smores Pie

Apparently the weather hasn’t got the memo that summer is over, as we’re back in the 80s here in PA this week. 🙁

That has me craving my #1 favorite summer flavor: Smores!

This no bake smores pie is SO easy, but so good. Most of the time is spent waiting around for things to set up in the fridge.

Things you can do while you wait on your Smores Pie:
1. Browse Pinterest: Consider following me while you’re there?
2. Read a book: I’m currently reading Club Dead (part of the Sookie Stackhouse series). Have you read anything good lately?
3. Watch Tv: Currently I’m addicted to My Strange Addiction and My 600 Lb. Life

Cherry Pie Bars

Buttery pie crust topped cherries and a sweet glaze.

Cherry Pie Bars

I’ve never posted a pie recipe before. Not because I don’t bake them, but because they’re never “pretty”. They usually taste good, but they look like a hot mess.

Yeah I’m talking about you ugly crust pumpkin pie and boiled over apple pie. They might be okay for family, but they’re not something I’d want to take to a party or show off on the blog.

However, these Cherry Pie Bars are nearly impossible to mess up! They make a great treat for Valentine’s Day, Christmas, or just because!
