Em Cosmetics Arched Brow Liner Review

Disclosure: The Em Cosmetics Arched Brow Liner used in this review was sent to me
for editorial consideration.

Em Cosmetics says:Ultra-slim in size but big on brow definition. Blends naturally.

Baking Beauty says: This brow liner looks very natural but I wish it contained more product.

Recipe for beauty:
1. Brush brows upward using the spoolie
2. Apply liner in short light strokes
3. Blend with the spoolie

Em Cosmetics Arched Brow Liner Review

I wouldn’t really consider this super defining. If you like to line under your brows or draw out the ends this isn’t the liner for you. Instead it lightly but naturally fills in your brows.

My shade is Golden Brown. Its a light taupey brown that is a good fit for me even though I’m brunette. If you find most brown liners too dark/stark try going blonde!

The product is waxy but smooth. It blends easily using the attached spoolie brush.

Ease of use:3/5

It takes some pressure/repeated strokes to get the product to show up. Because it is a twist up and very thin this often results in breakage. 🙁

Lasting Power:4/5

This lasted around 6 hours on me. To prolong the wear try using an eye shadow primer on your brow and/or setting with powder.

I like that it includes a brush, but when the eye liner is done I’ll probably just toss it. Therefore I kinda wish it was separate.

Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Medium Ash Review

**Holy grail alert!**

Anastasia says:“This lightweight, sheer to medium coverage formula was designed to be smudge-proof”

Baking Beauty says: This brow duo looks natural, blends easily, and lasts all day.

Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Medium Ash Review

I chose the shade Medium Ash. It contains a light and a dark brownish gray. This is perfect  for me. While my hair is dark brown, my brows are a mix of brown and blonde hairs. This renders most brown brow powders too harsh looking.

2 shades are super pigmented in one swipe, and match me perfectly.

The powders are soft and velvety. They also blend out effortlessly.

Ease of use/How to use:5/5

This is a breeze to use.  I use a small angled eyeliner brush to draw soft strokes. I use the lighter shade on the inner half of my brow, and the darker shade  from the arch outward.

Then I brush a clean spoolie brush through to blend, and set with my Anatasia brow Gel.

Lasting Power:5/5

This wore  for 8 hours on me. I used brow gel on top, but didn’t do any touch ups.

While it is on the expensive side its lasting power/blendability makes it worth it to me.

Packaging: 5/5

The silver packaging and logo look and  feel expensive. However it is still easy enough to travel with or throw into your makeup bag.

What’s your Holy Grail Brow Powder/Pencil?

Billion Dollar Brows Review

What does a greeting card, a steaming cup of coffee, and your eyebrows have in common?

They are all little things that can make a BIG difference. Your brows frame your face, and can really make or break your look. I am guilty of neglecting my brows as many women are, but after I get them done I feel so much more well groomed.

Billion Dollar Brows features a wide variety of products to help you make your brows their best.

They have been  featured in Cosmopolitan and Redbook Magazines, as well as on the Rachel Ray Show!

Hint of Tint Review

Hint of Tint is a brow gel and tint in one. I love products that combine 2 steps into one.  It makes my morning routine so much easier!

Pigmentation: I got the shade Taupe which is recommended for those with medium to dark hair colors. What’s great about the pigmentation is that it’s buildable. I prefer using 2 coats, but you could use more or less depending on your preferences.

Ease of Use: It is very easy to use. At first I was confused by the packaging. It reminded me of a lip gloss, but I was pleased there was a mascara wand spoolie in there.  This is the perfect tool to brush your brows into place, and apply color all at once.

Texture: Once applied it didn’t make my brows feel hard or stiff, like some gels I’ve tried.

Lasting Power: This product did a great job of holding my brows in place all day. It was also very easy to wash off at the end of the day.

Duo Brow Pencil Review
The brow pencil features a highlighter at one end, and a concealer at the other.
I really loved the highlighting end. It works great on your brow bone, in the inner corner, and also as an eyeshadow base.

Pigmentation: The highlighter showed up beautifully. A lot of the highlight shades I ownblend away until they’re invisible. So I was really pleased this one did not. The concealer was on the sheer side, but I doubt you bought this brow pencil for the concealer right?

Texture: Both were creamy for a pencil and easy to blend.

Lasting Power: The highlight lasted me all day, the concealer slightly less.

Ease of Use: Very easy! The only thing is you’ll need a jumbo sharpener to sharpen it.
